Watauga river fishing report

Winter weather has shown up here in northeast Tennessee. We’ve had cold weather early this week with temps forecast to climb into the 50s on Thursday. What does this mean for the fishing? Fortunately the water coming from the bottom of Watauga lake keeps the water temps in the mid 40s to 50 degrees year round. So right now the water temps are higher than the air temps. For those that don’t mind braving the cold, this can be an outstanding time to fish. We are looking forward to another year of some of the best trout fishing in the south east. If you have any questions, or if you would like to book a trip. Please feel free to give us a call or send an email.
