Watauga River Fishing Report

We’ve had some unseasonably warm days this week. We’ve been taking advantage of the warm days and have been rewarded with great fishing. High water has been fishing like a champ. The flows are good and the fish are feeding. Nymph rigs have been the most productive with some blue winged olives hatching in the afternoons. Some days the hatches are better than others. The closer we get to February, the more consistent the hatches will become. There isn’t much fishing pressure right now. We are only seeing one or two boats a day. It’s a great time to get out on the water and virtually have it to yourself. Please feel free to give us a call if you would like more information, or if you would like to book a trip.

Tight Lines,
