Watauga river fishing report

We are starting to see signs of fall. Leaves are starting to change color. It won’t be long before temperatures start drop. Right now the fishing is great. Light nymph rigs and dry dropper rigs are producing well. Small midges and blue winged olive nymphs on light tippet are our go to setups. Long drag free drifts are the key to being successful. We are seeing a few blue winged olives hatching here and there. It won’t be long before we start to see significant hatches. If you have any questions about our guide service, or if you would like to book a trip. Please feel free to give us a call or send an email. We would love to get you out on the water.
