We fished both the South Holston and Watauga rivers last week. Both rivers are fishing good on high water. South Holston is a deep nymph game. Heavy rigs, fished deep are producing fish. Watauga is nymphing great as well. With some opportunity for dry fly fishing in the slower water. The TVA is releasing water around the clock. Which is good news if you are floating. Consistent flows have the fish feeding well.
